Other Soft Seating 3D Models

Free soft seating that is neither sofa nor dining chair: benches, ottomans, poufs, chaise forms and lounge chairs with folded or draped cushion detail. Woven, velvet and plain fabric upholstery over wood and metal frames. Typically used to break up an open-plan living area, fill an entrance view, or add a secondary seating line to a large room without repeating the main sofa.

Other Soft Seating 3D Models for Architectural Visualization

This category collects the seating that does not fit the sofa or dining chair descriptions: benches, ottomans, poufs, daybeds, chaise forms, bean bags and modular lounge pieces. In practice these are secondary objects — they rarely carry a composition on their own, and they are almost always solving a specific spatial problem rather than being the subject of the render. The problems they solve are worth naming, because it determines which form to reach for. A long open-plan living area that reads as two disconnected zones is usually fixed by a bench or backless modular piece placed on the boundary, which divides without blocking sightlines. An entrance view that feels empty but cannot take a full seating group takes a single pouf or ottoman. A bedroom that looks unfinished at the foot of the bed takes a bench. A large room where the main sofa is already placed and a second seating line is needed, without repeating the sofa, takes a daybed or chaise. Because these pieces are secondary, they are frequently the ones that get scaled carelessly. Poufs and ottomans in particular have a wide legitimate size range, and one scaled up to fill a gap will read as slightly wrong without the viewer identifying why. Matching height to the seat height of the adjacent sofa, rather than to the visual gap, keeps the grouping coherent. Upholstery is woven fabric, velvet, plain cloth and leather over wood and metal frames. Gathered and creased forms — bean bags, soft-shell poufs, draped daybeds — depend heavily on their normal maps to keep fabric structure at close range. Under strong direct light these can read convincingly; under flat ambient they tend to flatten into coloured shapes, so they benefit from a scene with some directional lighting. Common placements are living rooms, entrances, bedrooms, offices and commercial waiting areas. Supplied as 3ds Max scenes with Corona Renderer materials, plus FBX, OBJ, 3DS and MTL. As elsewhere, geometry and UVs move between packages cleanly while renderer-specific materials do not. Fabric and velvet surfaces from the texture library apply directly to these frames when a particular upholstery is required.
